San LuisCounty Airport Information
San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport (IATA: SBP), also known as McChesney Field, is an airport located in San Luis Obispo, California serving San Luis Obispo County. The airport is mostly used for general aviation, but is also served by two commercial airlines.
The federal government took over the airport though World War II, turning it back to the county in 1946. Southwest Airways inaugurated a passenger and airline service that year.
